Nu-Way Introduces First of Its Kind, Shock-Safe Fuseholder for Surface Mounting From Schurter

FPG7 5 x 20mm Fuseholder is Seventh in Series

SCHURTER announced today an extension to its FPG family of shock-safe fuseholders to include a version for SMD mounting. Like earlier FPG mounting styles 1-6, the new FPG7 accepts 5x20 mm cartridge fuses. The compact fuseholder includes a fuse carrier with screwdriver slot or fingergrip knob. The complete unit consumes minimal space and provides an extremely low profile on the printed circuit board.

The new fuseholder is made of RoHS compliant heat resistant materials that are compatible with reflow solder processes. It is UL approved according to UL 512 / CSA C22.2 No. 39 for 16 A at 250 VAC and VDE approved according to IEC 60127-6 at 10 A at 250 VAC. It has a rated power acceptance of 2.5 W at 10 A with an ambient air temperature of 23°C.

The FPG7 is ideally suited for multi-port protection of stacked printed circuit boards where horizontal access to fuses is essential. It is available in bulk quantities or on tape in 250 piece reels for automated assembly. Delivery is stock to six weeks.
